Thursday 26, 2008

Today is Thursday that means two things, one the weekend is almost here and two the Nauvoo trip is right around the corner. Today started out to be a good day I woke up with my wife and walked her to the door and was able to see her off to work today. Then my work day started at the usual time 10:15 I would say that the calls have been slow at times and the other times non stop, I have had the opportunity to take some training modules on the computer today for work and they usually last about 30 minutes and then I take a break or my lunch, so it has made my day go by really fast which is good. Tomorrow I will have the opportunity to go to my wards father and sons camp out, I think that it will be fun. On our way up there we will be stopping at the Springville holding pond and doing some fishing and then we will make our way to the place where they will be having the father and sons camp out. Then Saturday will come and It will be time to get ready and go to Grandma Davis’ so we can pack the vehicles and start heading off to the east and on to Nauvoo IL.
Today is the NBA Draft and there is a lot of young kids looking to become instant millionaires today, how would it be to have that kind of talent and get paid to do something that you love. Don’t get me wrong I like my job but if I could be come a professional football player I would drop my job like a sack of crap and that would be it. But it will be very interesting to see who goes number one this year and also to see who the Utah Jazz get. But whatever happens’s today I just want to say my congrats to those young men that are about to embark on a journey of a lifetime. Well I think that is it for now I hope to talk to you all tomorrow before the father and sons camp out. Just remember one thing “Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It”

PEACE OUT!

Tuesday June 24, 2008

Today is Tuesday and that means only one thing we are just a few days until my vacation starts and the weekend. This weekend will be packed full of stuff and be very busy as most of you know that we that is Helen of Troy are going with her family on a trip to Nauvoo IL, that is where the Mormon Pioneers first started their trek across the west to find some land to settle in. But before I go on that trip I will go on a father and sons campout with my father the night before with my ward it should be fun. We are going up Hobble Creek canyon to a spot I think that somebody owns I am sure that there will be games and some socializing, it has been sometime since I actually camped out in a tent so I am sure that it will be real fun, and then on Saturday Me and my father will be doing some fishing before breakfast and then we will eat with the ward and then it will be time to go home and shower and get ready for the longest trek that I have ever been on. I am excited to go because Helen of Troy’s sister Mrs. Pacman and Pacman will be riding with us and it will be fun to hang out and talk with them to kill some time as we drive the Wyoming the most boring state in America. But hopefully on our way out to Nauvoo we will be able to stop at one of my favorite places to visit and that would be cablea’s the bust huntin and fishin store out there. Once we get to Nauvoo we will have a bunch of activities planned as a family and places that we will be visiting while we are out there. I hope that I can find my cousin Sophie she is on a service mission out there playing in a band, that will be kind of fun to watch and see her out there. As for today I am back to work after all of the updates they did yesterday taking us off the phones was not a good thing at all I only got paid for 3 hours of that time which really sucks but what do you do. Today’s calls have gone pretty good not to fast at all very nice pace to where it makes my day go by pretty fast. My wife got an award today at work I am so proud of her she has worked so hard to get some kind of reconition there at her job and finally has gotten something. Well I think that is it for now I hope to see you all tomorrow and thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Pacman for being there for me and my wife. And congrats Pacman for the big accomplishment that you got back and are able to do. I love you Helen of Troy and I am very proud of you and love you sooooooo much!

PEACE OUT!

Monday June 23, 2008

Today is Monday and it is back to the grind of things, we have 4 and a half days left until we leave for our Nauvoo trip on Saturday. This weekend was a little busy we decided to do some garage selling and see if we could find me an office chair and to see what else people were selling. we looked at a couple of places around the first one we came too they were having a moving sale and there were two kitchen chairs that would match our kitchen table we have, so we bought those and we also came away from there with a bed frame and a really nice fan. We then moved to another sale that was a foreclosure sale there we found an office chair for me and it was really comfortable we then continued on and found some more kitchen chairs to go with our table and we continued driving around looking for yard sales. We came home and and relaxed a bit and then my wife got on the computer and looked on KSL.com and found a lady that was selling some furniture and one of the pieces of furniture was a really nice bed, they also had a TV and some couches my wife fell in love with the bed we called her up and had my mother in-law go to their house and look at the stuff they had. We had to make a decision if wanted the bed or not and we decided to get in the truck and drive out there spend the night and then we would pick the stuff up at her house the following morning. The next morning we went to breakfast with her mom and Dave and we went to a place called Virg's let me tell you I will never eat there in all of my life the breakfast they serve there was horrible the pancakes that I ordered tasted like poop on a stick they were so nasty they took them back and I ordered some hash browns and some toast the hash browns were ok the toast not so much. So now we are on our way to get our new bed and also the mattress and box spring her mom and Dave got from her as well. We loaded the truck and went back to her mom's house unloaded her mom's bed and we took off so we could be back in time to try and go to church or to make it back in time for me to get my temple recommend signed by a member of the stake presidency so I could go to the Nauvoo temple and do a session with all of the aunts and uncles while out there. We got back and it was just in time to go see the presidency to get that signed. We went to dinner with my mom and sister at Jim's

June 18-20, 2008

Well I have al0t of catching up to do since the last time I wrote something in this blog. Since then the Boston Celtics won their first NBA title in 22 years thanks in part to the new acquisitions they got in the offseason my boy Kevin (The Big Ticket) Garnett, and Ray Allen. Those guys gave the Celtics the offense they needed to push them over the top and win the big one. It was so sweet to see Kobe Bryant falter and fail, that guy thinks that he is one step better than Michael Jordan was at this point in his career and he is wrong he is no where near that great nor will he ever be. Work the last couple of days has been alright nothing to excited I have had the opportunity to listen to people scream about their directv service and how much they hate it and all of that jazz, my outlook on it is I could honestly care less what they are screaming about most of the time while they are screaming I am playing Pac-Man or Tetris so its all right. Today my wife is mad at me because she thought that I said something in anger which is not true at all, she can honestly take it however way she wants it but I know how I meant it and I did not mean it to be in anger at all. Today overall has been pretty good other than that the calls were pretty good and I had no system issues like I did yesterday that got me into some trouble but it has all straighten out now. I have a little more than a week before I go on my trip with my wifes family to Nauvoo I am excited to go and get away from work and all of that stuff but I am not excited about the drive to and from Nauvoo, I know for a fact that I will be awake the whole entire time. The Friday before we go I will have the opportunity to go to the father and sons camping trip up hobble creek canyon with my ward it should be fun maybe me and my dad will do somefishing while we are up there at the holding pond. Well I think that is it for now.

PEACE OUT!

Monday June 16, 2008

Today is Monday, we all love Monday's don't we? Yesterday was a pretty good it was fathers day. It started out with an interview with our bishop he is giving us some temple prep classes so we can prepare to go to the temple, we talked for a bit and then had a lesson. Then after our meeting we went back to the house and my parents were there we decided to give my dad his father's day present and card. We got him a fishing tool kit it came with a fillet knife line clippers a hook remover and a carrying case for all of that stuff. We also gave him a card and in with the card were two Jake fishing spinners that I kind of owe him since I lost the last two he let me borrow. We then went to church just for part of sacrament meeting and then we went to the Schultz family bbq and we watched the kids play in the sprinklers and we also watched some of the US Open. We then went home got the car and went to my dad's side of the family for a little outing and then headed up to my wife's grandparents for a family home evening lesson from a returned missionary from NC he came and talke to us about his mission and some of the people there. We then went inside and watched a wedding video of my wifes aunt and uncle we talked about the Nauvoo trip and some temple stuff and then we came around 11:00 last night and now I am here working at home and typing this Blog for all to enjoy. Today at work it has been going at a good pace not too fast and not too slow I would say just about right to stay busy. Well I think that is all for today see ya tomorrow.

June 13, 2008

Alright I am going to try and do better at this blogging thing, people tell me it's supposed to be like a journal or some type of life keeper thingy. I will do better job of trying to keep things in order with my life and letting people know whats going on and how I was feeling that day and so on.

Today so far has been a good day this is day 3 working from home and so far I have had no problems with any of the equipment and everything seems to be running smoothly the calls are coming in at a pace that I have expected them to come in, it seems like the later the day goes on the faster the calls come in thats ok it just makes the day go by a lot faster and that is what we like. I haven't had any body yell at me today so that is a good thing I have been able to address the customers issues in a timely matter. The best part about working at home is in between calls I can IM my wife and talk to her at work and type somethings that are on my mind in my blog to help the day fo by faster. I am able to play on the laptop we got and just browse. Right now I am listening to kids fighting in the background why I wait for an answer from my supervisor on a question I had for her. My parents will be staying her tonight and possibly tomorrow night too, they are down for fathers day weekend it will be nice to have them here. This weekend will be very busy for me and my wife we have to attend alot of dinners at families house for the fathers day celebration, which is nice we all get free food! Well I better go for now talk to you all tomorrow.

Peace Out!

How about them LAKERS!!!

This post has to do with the basketball team that I hate the most the LAKERS! It started with the game last night. First three quarters of last nights game they totally dominated the Celtics they made them look like a high school team putting them to shame, and from the looks of it they were headed into tying the series up at 2-2. But then it happened the Lakers showed their true colors got big heads and totally lost control of the game. They had a chance to put the Celtic's away and could not finish them off. The Celtic's ended up coming back in the fourth quarter from a 24 point to beat the lakers and have a big lead in the series 3-1 game 5 will be Sunday and hopefully the Celtics can close the deal and win their first championship in over 20 years.

Where do I start...

It has been a long time since I have Blogged I have alot to talk about. Since you last heard from me I was planning a trip up to my parents house to work with my dad and I did that and it was OK I think that he only used me for like a day and that was all and I was up there for like 7 days. But I still got paid for it ($200) which helped us out quite a bit Well since then I have started a new job at Converys I have been there once before and I am liking it. I work on the DirecTV project it is really easy and fun to do at the same time, one of the quarks of working for them is after 90 days I will be able to have there service for free and also have the NFL Sunday ticket for free as well. One thing with working at Convergys and DirecTV is that I am able to work from home as a Work At Home Agent which is kind of different. I am taking the same customer service calls like I am at the call center but I am doing at my house. This will help save on gas in the truck that is for sure.

Me and my wife have been preparing to go to the temple to be sealed and we are finally able to do so. We will be getting sealed August 2nd, 2008 and it will be a fun and eventful day for both sides of the family. I am very excited for that day to come and see the smiling faces on our family as we make a very good decision in both of our lives and will point us both in the right direction. We also have the opportunity to go to nauvoo at the end this month and I will have the opportunity to do some temple work in the nauvoo temple, as well as beka she will be doing baptisms for the dead that should be a very neat experience for both of us. Also on the trip we will have the opportunity to go on a mile hand cart trek just like the pioneers did. At first I decided not to because of my feet. I was born with Bi-lateral Club feet I have had 21 operations on my fee and am in constant pain because of them. I am allergic to all of the pain meds that are out there so simple IB profren is what I have to take for the pain and sometimes that does not do it. But back to the hand cart trek that we will be doing in nauvoo, I have recently decided to walk the one mile trek just like the pioneers did, the reasoning behind my choice is because how could I be such a wimp, I mean come on I am sure that there were pioneers that crossed the plains that were in worse condition than I am and they never had the medical care that I have had I am sure there were people with no legs that crossed the plains and not just riding in the back of a wagon or on a horse I am sure that those people had to walk across the plains, these people did it for miles upon miles, I think that I can handle a mile of walking. I will be remembering those people that did it when I do it I am sure that I will be somewhat emotional when doing it but if those people did it for a better life I will be doing it for spiritual reasons. So I am excited about the adventures to come My life is going good and I love my wife very much.

Peace out!
